The
Oldest Women's Motorcycle club in New England...
The Moving Violations Motorcycle Club, Inc. was founded in June of 1985 by
a small group of women who enjoyed riding together and sharing information
about motorcycling. Women on their own bikes were few and far between, and
the experience of meeting and riding with one another brought strength, friendship
and knowledge. From this experience evolved our basic philosophy: to enjoy
safe, noncompetitive riding with other women motorcyclists. Although most of
our members are based in Metro-Boston, we also come from greater New England,
New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and as far away as Colorado.
Our activities can include picnics, camping trips, bowling, movies,
leading parades, maintenance clinics, motorcycle safety courses,
fund-raisers and spontaneous
rides to just about anywhere. All members are encouraged to develop and
participate in group events. We have several official rides
per year: 2 Novice Rides (Spring/Late
Summer), the Benefit Run (May), the Provincetown Run (July/August), the
Berkshire Run (September/October) and we lead the Lesbian
and Gay Pride Parade in June.
Some of our rides are exclusively for members and prospects only. Additional
rides may be announced in the club newsletter or organized informally.
If you don't know any of us yet, come meet us! If you would like
to attend our next club ride or come to a general meeting,
please contact us or call
club information hotline at
